A Message from the Author, Cynthia Bain
The mighty Redwood tree both awes and inspires. Having lived in the Pacific Northwest, I was quite literally surrounded by these wonders of nature. So, why choose the Redwood as a symbol of my life journey documented in the words and sentences of this blog? It came from reading the following bit of information on how these massive trees continue to stand strong in even the harshest environment.
Some would say, I have been tested by fire in my own life. The story of my past reads traumatic and to many, inconceivable. Regardless of my past, through my relationship with my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, I have been strengthened and fortified, much like a redwood.
I write this blog to share my experiences and musings with you in the hope that by reading my words, and through the work of the Holy Spirit, you will find find faith, rest, peace, strength, energy, but most of all…love.
I thank you for joining me on this literary and ministry journey. Until next time.
A very special note of thanks to my husband, Fairfield Bain, for believing in me. He is so much more than my husband- he is my everything! Love is just a word until someone gives it meaning. He exhibits love in action every day. He inspires, challenges and encourages me. His positive spirit nurtures my soul. We share such a vision for the future. I look forward to many shared accomplishments and celebrations. Thank you Fairfield, for loving me.
