Familial relationships are often complicated. Furthermore, navigating the uncharted waters of life as mother and daughter can be particularly challenging, and in some cases, the course may prove to be impassable. Such is the case for author Cynthia Bain. Raised by a mentally ill mother prone to violent psychotic episodes, Bain found herself in a fragile state of confusion and hopelessness at a young age. Yet, in spite of enduring the unimaginable, Bain found what could be described as a faith compass, which gave her the strength to overcome being defined as a victim and emerge triumphant, finally at peace, feeling as though she could breathe again, empowered by her relationship with God.
Learning to Breathe is available for purchase online at Amazon, Kindle and Barnes & Noble.
About the Author
Cynthia Bain lives in Wakefield, Virginia with her husband and two “fur-kids” (Chloe, the Yorkie princess, and Mojo, the frequently misunderstood Jack Russell Terrier), where they are currently in the process of reviving a three-hundred-year-old farmhouse.
She created the inspirational blog, www.redwoodperspective.com, where her goal with every post, and through sharing her own life stories, is to motivate others to act and to live more abundantly. Similar to the life of the redwood tree, she endured numerous fires in her own life that, through self-determination and the will to rise above, resulted in a newfound strength that allowed her to overcome the tragedies of her past. Readers who would like to connect with her may contact her on Twitter (@redwoodonfire), Facebook (Redwood Perspective), her website (www.redwoodperspective.com), or via email (firstname.lastname@example.org).
