I love it when I write things that resonate with YOU! I have branched out and am writing and contributing in other places. The other day I shared a thought in one of those other places that had my notifications on fire. I have decided to share that little thought that resonated in such a big way in a blog right here.
Does anyone else buy beautiful notebooks and then not want to write in them? I have so many. I love them all but seriously want to save them FOR WHAT? I think I need an intervention! I realize that I do not need anymore but just a few days ago I bought three of the most beautiful journal style notebooks ever and smiled as I added them to my stash. I would love to work in an office supply store but I would go broke!
When I shared this sentiment elsewhere, I had people chiming in from all over the world about the things they buy and save for the perfect moment. Candles, cups, pens! Everyone saying, “Me too!”
Living in a three hundred year old farmhouse, you find things! I opened up a drawer and found the obvious “best” table linens (never used) with the receipt still attached. It would seem that my dear sweet mother-in-law whom I never had the pleasure of meeting and I share at least two things – loving Fairfield and saving our best things for another day or another person. She also had quite the stash of candles.
Ladies this makes me so sad!!!
The recent events in Las Vegas should affirm to us that we never know when our last moment will be. The truth is some of us live and do not have any moments because we are waiting for them instead of making them.
I have the most beautiful necklace and matching earrings that my husband bought for me. I leave them on my dresser every day saving them for special occasions. Not today. I decided that today was a special occasion! Everyday that we wake up is a special occasion AND we are special. There is no need to wait for a special guest to use your best because you my lovelies are worthy of your best of everything!
Where did I go in my best jewelry? Ummm. Goodyear™ to have my flat fixed.
Wear the nice clothes for no reason. Write in the notebook. Do not leave blank pages for someone else to fill. Burn the candles. Drink the wine. Love you. Spoil you. Do not wait for someone else to do it! Can you really expect someone else to love you if you don’t love yourself?
I am not going to lie a new favorite song of mine and yes I sing it LOUD
and I want to have a name as cool as Lunch Money Lewis. I am open to suggestions!
Be totally present in the moment and give every moment your best. Most importantly, demand the best of every moment! You deserve it.
Until Next Time,
