What if you are what is ailing you?
Everyone around you can see “the problem” in your life. It does not take a doctor to diagnose. The problem is you.
You blame everyone and everything else for your troubles never accepting responsibility for new outcomes.
You are overweight but lack the dedication, desire, or motivation to make the necessary changes in your eating or exercise habits.
You identify with being sick over healthy because it gets you out of seeing life through day to day.
You have a terrible relationship with your significant other because you aren’t being authentic to yourself. You aren’t treating yourself with significance. Maybe you do not have a significant other. Perhaps, your relationships in general need a boost.
You hate your job but you aren’t growing yourself in new directions. You aren’t even planting seeds.
You aren’t open to new ideas and wonder why your life never seems to change.
You do not practice gratitude and do not understand why you do not receive.
Quitting seems easier than trying.
You wallow in the past instead of embracing the future. You would rather be bitter than better.
You want everyone and everything else to change except you and when they do you wonder why you were left behind.
What if you made a choice to act instead of accept? What if you decided that today was going to be the first day of the best of your life? Don’t tell me, “Yea, but…” or “It isn’t that easy.” If you do, I am going to tell you that it is in fact that easy. Deciding that you want a different life and going after it is a lot easier than sitting on the sidelines and wallowing in a life you did not choose but rather accepted. I can also tell you that it is a lot more rewarding, stimulating, and fulfilling.
So, how you ask? How do you change your life?
Most would say look in the mirror. Looking in the mirror only reflects what the world sees. I say look into your soul. Listen to the words that you speak that no one else can hear.
You can look in the mirror all day long and say that you “want” to do something but unless you are speaking those words to your soul and “committing” to them, they do not become a part of your “reflection.”
When you commit to changing your life, you start to reflect a power and enthusiasm that others can see that is coming from the inside and it shows outwardly. No mirror required.
No one can make you choose you. No one can give you determination. You simply have to want more. You have to choose to settle for more.
You have to wake up one day and say “the past will no longer chart my course.” No matter how bad the past WAS and quit reliving that shit!
You have to get sick and tired of lying to yourself about your size. Leggings lie.
You have to wake up and choose health over sickness. Today I woke up feeling crummy. I said to myself, “I manifest health for this day.” It starts in your mind. Then, I began to do the things that I knew were best for me.
Relationships start with you. Not the other person. Learn to love you first so you can teach others how.
Your job. So many people focus on the money first. Choose happiness. Even if your job sucks, you can find something to be grateful for everyday while you are working toward a new goal if you are in fact working toward a new goal. Are you investing in you as much as you are investing in your employer?
If you want change, you cannot keep doing the same thing. If you hate to read, pick up a book even if it is Dr. Seuss – ESPECIALLY IF IT IS DR. SEUSS!!! Dr. Seuss can change your attitude and that is what it takes to change your life.
Don’t be a quitter. The only person you truly quit on is you. There are many people that are existing in caskets of their mind everyday long before they are placed in a casket in the ground.
You cannot be left behind if you are leading the way even if the only person that you are leading is you.
So, again I ask? Are you what is ailing you? Only you can answer that question.
Life coaching it…beginning with mine.
