Snow globes have always intrigued me. They provide a sense of magical wonder, little perfect worlds self-contained. Scenes that fascinate. Driving as my husband and I so often do, I find myself in a location that seems like such perfection- worthy of being captured for eternity.
In my mind, I have wandered to the creation of my own snow globe. What if I could be the artist and creator of my own snow globe? My own world. What would it look like? Pardon me while I ponder. So many questions! Snow globes make me curious and imaginative. When I pick them up, a story fills my mind. What story would fill the minds of the people holding my world?
In my little piece of the world, it would be fall. Lots of trees. Leaves of varying colors. Many have fallen so I can hear the crackle as I walk through them. The sound of the October breeze. Acorns. A stream close enough to my home that I could walk to it and sit on a big rock where I would read, pray and write. Warm sweaters. Pumpkins! A porch with steps that I could sit on with my Chloe. Fairfield joins us and we have coffee while taking it all in.
It is a snow globe so time stands still. My perfect moment.
God’s beauty is appreciated fully. He is the master of my world. People are kind. Friends and family are important and know it. Christmas does not start in the summer and it is not commercial. It is a matter of the heart.
Writing is my passion and my purpose. If you were able to peek through the windows of my home, you would see the room where I pour words from my heart straight onto the page. Aside from my family, my writing would be my life’s purpose. The room would be filled with my favorite books, some of them authored by me. Each written with the purpose to inspire and motivate.
People would smile as they held my snow globe and they would sit it down with a feeling of warmth.
What kind of world would you create? Explore your passion. Contemplate your dreams. Realize that each day you are creating your world. You have the power to create your perfect world- your own snow globe.
You also have to power to decide what and whom you allow in. Powerful. Not everyone belongs there. My glass border blocks out negativity and doubt and the people who would attempt to instill it. My world demands respect and values virtue and purpose. All glory is given to God.
My world is a world full of endless possibilities. So is yours. The only limits are the ones that we place on ourselves.
Our world is our snow globe. If you are living in a moment that is not your idea of perfection, one that you would not want to have frozen in time, one where your dreams seem distant and out of reach- pick up your snow globe and shake it.
Until Next Time,
